Read Ann Jarmusch's latest piece for SignOn San Diego -- an ode to the Mingei's Nakashima table - HERE. Speaking of the Mingei, do not forget that "San Diego's Craft Revolution" opens this October. Track the progress of the exhibit HERE.

Edgar Tafel, an architect who was among the best known of Frank Lloyd Wright’s apprentices died last month at the age of 98. Tafel is reportedly the last surviving member of the original Taliesin Fellowship, which convened in 1932. Read the New York Times obituary HERE.

San Diego’s Sim Bruce Richards studied under Wright alongside Tafel and remained close to him until his death 1983. Learn more about Wright’s apprentices’ work in San Diego HERE.

The LA Times just posted a hearty, well photographed, feature on Wright's Ennis House (ca. 1924) as part of their "Landmark Houses" series HERE.

Borrowing liberally from other writers, I updated William Kesling's page HERE.

I posted a brief (first-draft) biography of architect Donald Campbell HERE. I am in need of help with photographs, and any other biographical material.

Architect Thornton Ladd passed away last month. I posted a brief biography HERE. At this time I only know of one Ladd (Ladd & Kelsey) project in San Diego - it is located at 1020 Prospect in La Jolla. If you know anything about Ladd, please let me know.
