William A. Patrick (b. 1919 - )

William Arthur Patrick was born in New Cumberland, PA on December 12, 1919 and went on to secure his BA at the University of Pittsburgh (in 1941) before serving as a Major in the Adjutant General Corps (1941-47). Following his work with Frank Lloyd Wright as a Taliesin Fellow (1948-49) he moved to Woodside, California with Tony Cappucilli, Sean O'hare and Chet Wisniewski who he served Wright with.  The four men embarked on a number of designs in the San Francisco region. Establishing the Midglen Studio in Woodside in 1952, Mr. Patrick stayed behind in as his partners returned to their homes in Syracuse, New York, and Ireland as architects and teachers. Patrick first joined  the AIA in 1966 as William Arthur Patrick, AIA.
