Eugene
Ray
Architect Eugene Ray has been published and or exhibited in France,
Italy, England, Japan, Brazil, Scotland, Mexico, Switzerland as well
as here in the US. From pictorials in Domus and A+U, to
presentations before the Rudolph Steiner Institute, Aspen Design
Conference, Paris Biennale, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and London’s
Architecture Association, you would think Ray would be a household
name in San Diego.
In his hometown, of New Orleans, Ray earned a master’s in
architecture from Tulane University. Following graduation he designed
a number of homes in the area. Relocating to San Diego, Ray served
as head of the environmental design program – within San
Diego State University’s art program - for 20 years,
starting in 1969.
