Gerald Jerome served architects and private clients alike with interior design services as well as creating his own custom furniture in collaboration Dillard Harwell. Many of his projects for clients were revered – including the Col. Irving and Cecile Salomon penthouse at 3200 6th Avenue by architect Henry Hester, and his own home on Prospect Street in La Jolla by Hester.

Dillard Harwell, a long-time associate with his brother-in-law, interior designer, Gerald Jerome, once offered that Jerome and Frank Goldberg launched Furniture Forum in 1956, at Richard Wheeler's design complex on Rosecrans. They designed interiors for private clients as well as local architects Henry Hester, Sim Bruce Richards and Richard Wheeler among others.
