Sheridan Graham Latta
Architect | 1906 - 1971
From his Glendale office, architect Graham Latta and his partners designed a number of residential, commercial and government building projects across his entire adult life. At this time, only one project designed by Latta has been acknowledged in San Diego County.

Sheridan Graham Latta was born in 1906 in Wilcox, Pennsylvania. He secured his B.S. in Architecture from USC in 1927. While in school he was promoted from Office Boy to Job Captain at Weston & Weston (1925-29) after which he (in 1929) traveled to Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium and England.
Following his European travel Latta worked as Draftsman for Robert D. Farquhar between 1929-1932 before rejoining Joseph Weston as Chief Draftsman (1933-35). Leaving Weston’s employ, Latta went solo as ‘Graham S. Latta, Architect’ between 1935-50 during which time he served in the US Navy Construction Battalions between 1943-45.
Between 1950-55, Latta partnered with Carl W. Denney as Graham Latta & Carl Denney, Architects from an office at 940 Alma Street in Glendale. Latta worked again as a solo practitioner before, in 1966, he launched Graham Latta & Donald Lynch, Architects.
